Up Late: There’s no M in Puppet
The website audiencesunlimited.com, which promotes the availability of audience tickets for those wishing to watch the production of shows like America’s Funniest Home Videos (for those who can’t get enough of seeing people hit in the nuts) and According to Jim, has announced that audience tickets are available for a new Jim Henson Company production.
The show, titled Late Night Buffet, will feature all new *puppet* characters, celebrity guests and ‘the unique and the irreverent brand of humor audiences around the world have come to expect from The Jim Henson Company’. However what’s probably the greatest sign that The Jim Henson Company is attempting to distance itself from previous productions which featured the Muppet characters (now owned by Disney… oh.. Pixar… Disney… Digital Muppets ahoy?) is this little snipped from the end of the audiencesunlimited.com listing:
Please note that the minimum age for admission is 18. This show is produced for an adult audience.
If this doesn’t turn out to be the greatest thing ever to happen, then the human race may as well just pack it up and go home right now.
