I fell in love with this show instantly as soon as I saw the pilot episode they made years and years ago (pre-YouTube I believe?). Immediately I was disappointed to learn it was apparently a one-off show made by some dude for some special Cartoon Network thing (among many other shows).

Fair enough, I thought, they couldn’t really get such a obtuse concept off the ground.

Cut forward to years later and I was shocked and extremely happy to find out there was a season 1 launched! Now there it’s heading toward 6 seasons and I couldn’t be happier!

Recently at the Sydney Royal Easter Show the Adventure Time showbag was sold out within days (before anything else I believe). Nice to see this show growing in popularity.

Honestly Adventure Time walks the line between Kids TV and awesome adult entertainment perfectly, the best that I’ve seen at least. What a pleasure to be able to watch something with young kids and get the same (or more) kicks out of it as an adult. The closest I can think of is some Pixar movies.

Drunkenness sounds superb, and lord knows it can only help the recording process. I’m also hoping to make it down to Melbourne AGAIN this year. I’ve signed up to The Falls Festival… but even without that I’m considering a roadtrip would be tasty. I’ve already done one to Brisbane this year, so it would make sense (infact, more sense) to go to Melbourne! Anyway, sounds tasty either way!
